The problem
Years of photos, and you never look back at them.
Thousands of photos sit in an endless grid you only ever scroll from the top. The big days are lost between screenshots and WhatsApp forwards, and your phone keeps running out of space. Memopolis turns your gallery into something you actually want to explore, and share.
What you get
Why people use Memopolis
Your gallery, as a city
Every day you took photos becomes a building. Years are districts, months are blocks, and the busiest days stand as skyscrapers.
Watch it rise
A time-lapse builds your city from your first photo to today, then dives into your tallest tower to show your best day.
Your city's type
Festival City, Night Owl Metro, Screenshot Slum Lord, Forward Bazaar: each city gets a type worked out from what's really in it.
A video to share
Save your city rising as a vertical video with music made in the app, ready for Reels, Shorts and WhatsApp status.
City of Us
Start a city from the day you met, or invite someone with a link: your two galleries merge, and the days you both took photos glow gold.
Neighbours
Friends' cities stand next to yours across a river. Visit, like, and leave a tree, lantern, fountain or statue by their city. No rankings: towers are busy days, parks are quiet ones.
Landmarks and a city every year
Name the days that mattered, see a new landmark light up when a big day joins your city, and keep a city for every year of your life. Your skyline also lives in a home-screen widget.
Demolish the junk
See how much space screenshots, WhatsApp forwards and big videos take, and clear them out. Android asks before anything moves, and items go to the phone's bin first.
Your data
Your photos never leave your phone. No email, no ads. Neighbours uses a random name and day counts only. The app sends anonymous daily usage counts (no ID) that you can switch off. Shared city links carry only day counts, never photos.
Memopolis reads the dates of the photos and videos in your gallery, groups them by day and builds a city from them, all on your phone. The free version builds and explores your city, shows your best day, and saves 720p videos and posters with a small Memopolis mark. Pro is a one-time unlock: 1080p video and HD posters without the mark, city styles (Mumbai Monsoon, Dubai Gold, Tokyo Neon, Paris Dusk), landscapes such as Snow Peaks and Cherry Blossom, city life you can switch on or off, and Demolish.
Memopolis questions
Does Memopolis upload my photos?
No. Memopolis reads your gallery on your phone to build the city, and your photos never leave it. Neighbours only shares a random name and how many photos you took each day, never photos, file names or places.
What does a shared city link contain?
Only how many photos you took on each day and what kind of day it was (photos, videos, screenshots or forwards). No photos, file names or places. The city is packed into the part of the link after the "#", which browsers don't send to the website.
How does a City of Us work?
Pick a day in your city and tap "Start a city from this day", or send an invite link. When the other person opens it and taps Merge with my city, Memopolis builds one city from both galleries and colours the days you both took photos gold.
Does Demolish delete my photos for good?
Demolish asks Android to move the items you pick to your phone's bin, and Android shows its own confirmation first. Nothing is touched unless you confirm.
When is Memopolis available?
Memopolis is coming soon to Google Play for Android. Until then you can try a demo city at shiponfriday.com/city, and follow @shiponfriday on Instagram or YouTube to hear when it launches.
