What it does
Why people use BackThen
Records quietly
Pick a folder and BackThen snapshots it as it changes, or whenever you ask.
Scrub the timeline
See when things changed and what the folder looked like at any moment.
Rewind, then undo
Put a single file or the whole folder back. Every rewind can itself be undone.
Compare versions
Images and PDFs side by side, text line by line.
Who did that?
See which app changed a file (macOS), and what suddenly ate your disk.
Your data
Everything stays on your machine, deduplicated in a local store. Nothing is uploaded.
BackThen is being built in the open. Follow @shiponfriday to see it ship.
